The reversible electrolyzer
At the hearth of Sylfen's innovative technology lies a reversible electrolyzer, bringing new functionalities: (i) it works as an electrolyzer to store excess of electricity in the form of hydrogen, and (ii) as a fuel cell to produce electricity and heat from that same hydrogen - or alternatively from (bio)-gaz
With a single device, we are now capable of storing large energy capacities, and give it back to the users whenever there is a need. This single point of entry makes installation and maintenance more economical.
This technology, developed in France, has demonstrated the best electrolysis performance in the world !
1/3 When your building produces too much energy

Batteries provide electricity to the building
Some hydrogen is used to produce the missing electricity, together with some heat
3/3 In addition : cogeneration from methane
When the stock of hydrogen is depleted, regular methane can be used to produce electricity and heat. This reaction, called cogeneration is highly efficient and allows you to value biogaz made locally.
Also, it's possible to anticipate your energy needs by refilling your hydrogen supply when electricity from the network is cheap, or buying gaz instead of electricity.
